Ludwig Willisch, BMW North America CEO, is pressing corporate BMW headquarters in Munich to add a BMW M7 model to the current line up of M Power cars.
Until now, the Bavarian maker decided not do an M version of its flagship model but this sentiment appears to be changing, especially with Willisch’s counterpart in China also lending his support.
Willisch, who previously served as president of the M division, said to The Detroit News;
I think we will get it.
He ruled out the possibility of importing the first BMW M diesel model, the M550d xDrive to the US. The problem is that it would be too expensive to homologate, especially considering the relatively few copies BMW expects to sell.
