Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale on Transfagarasan in Romania

Transfagarasan, not a name that instantly sticks to your brain. The sight of it will probably remind you though that it is that dramatic 90km mountain pass in the Southern Carpathians of Romania made famous by the Top Gear team during Season 14. In winter, the road becomes impassable in places so it is the last place you expect to see Lamborghini’s latest piece of machinery!

The following video demonstrates just how capable the Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale even with 570hp to all four wheels. While it wasn’t going to set any speed records, on the day it looks as though the car performed admirably in the harshest of environments. Although, not nearly as well as the helicopter pilot who with balls of steel, managed to drive impossibly close to the road! The shoot was for Lamborghini Magazine Issue Nr.I0.
