Alabama-based tuning company APR announced an ECU tweak for the Audi R8 V10 recently. It offers modest upgrades to the V10 engine allowing it to compete with Lamborghini’s Gallardo and the Audi R8 GT more effectively. The upgrades are available for different states of engine tune and to compensate for different fuel quality levels.

From a measured 526hp at 7,750rpm, 1hp more than the factory specifications, the R8 V10 power output rises to 583hp at 7,850rpm, measured on 93 octane fuel. 91 octane see increases to 559hp at 7,950rpm. Torque figures rise from 395lb-ft to 431 and 411lb-ft respectively. Check out the video below for the result!
