Once production of the Pagani Huayra starts we’re almost certain that Pagani will start work on the Huayra Roadster, if that hasn’t happened already! We’re looking forward to seeing the finished car, but in the mean time we’ve had a few renderings drawn up by Wild-Speed to try and predict what a Huayra roadster would look like. We’ve got to say, even these early renderings look pretty outstanding!

For the roadster, we’ve changed a few details. First, there’s a new front bumper, with a larger air intake, no led daytime running lights and carbon air scoops towards the sides in a similar style to the Pagani Zonda R. The nose also extends further down than on the Huayra coupe, looking similar to the Zonda. The roof has been removed in the same way as the Zonda Roadster. The design is characterised by large roll-over hoops, and a fully open cockpit.

Engine mechanicals for the Huayra Roadster will probably remain the same as the Huayra coupe. Expect the same unique Mercedes-AMG twin-turbo V12. Displacement is 5,980cc and power peaks at 730 horsepower and 1,000Nm of torque. The power and enormous torque is transferred to the rear wheels via a seven-speed sequential gearbox cross and a singe-disc clutch. In the Huayra Roadster, performance may be stunted, but not by much. Expect standstill to 100km/h in little more than 3.3 seconds, while its top speed should be close to 370km/h with the roof down!

You can choose between eleven different colour options in the gallery above. Our personal favorite? We’d love to see a blue Huayra Roadster!

  1. @Wild Speed: if you want to show what a car looks like without the roof, use a picture where the roof is VISIBLE (like from the side, for example).
