Normally, we stick only to news articles that involve cars. Today though, we’re making an exception to announce an ultra-limited edition Hublot watch, designed to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ferrari 250 GTO. It will only be offered to owners of the legendary classic racer with the option of having the owners chassis number engraved onto the case.

The watch features a 45mm titanium case, redesigned to resemble the curves of the 250 GTO. It gets a skeleton-style Tourbillon movement. Finally, the movement bridge on the case-back can be customised with the chassis number of the watch owner’s vehicle if desired, and the strap is made from barenia calfskin in reference to the upholstery used in cars of this era.

No price has been announced, presumably this will remain a secret between Hublot and each owner. Hublot did announce that the watch received its official unveil at the 2012 owners gathering we recently reported on. 24 owners were present at the Abbaye de Hautvillers, the historic heart of Dom Pérignon.
