Bugatti have traditionally had a strong presence at the Monterey Car Week, this year is no different. One of the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse models on display is a special edition model, built to honour the famous 1928 Bugatti Type 37A, now owned by Jay Leno. The Type 37A was a completely different concept to the Veyron, featuring a 80hp, supercharged inline-four it did won the very first Monaco Grand Prix.

The bodywork gets a “New Light Blue” colour on the lower sections and “Bianco” main sections. The interior features Cognac leather. Underneath, it’s just a ‘normal’ Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. It offers increased power output up to 1,200hp and 1,500Nm of torque compared to the normal Grand Sport. The increases are made possible by the four enlarged turbochargers and intercoolers. Performance figures are 0 to 100km/h in 2.6 seconds with a top speed of 410km/h.
