Dany Bahar, the former CEO of Lotus, asked the factory to rebuild a 2002 Lotus Esprit V8 featuring a fully rebuilt engine and gearbox, full respray in pearlescent white, and a unique re-trimmed leather and suede interior.

According to the Lotus Forums, the vehicle is now for sale after Dany only drove 1,000 miles with it. Next to the rebuild, the engineers fitted a series of Final Edition options used on the very last 2003 models. This includes AP Racing four-pot front and Brembo rear brake callipers, center exit exhaust and round rear lights.

The unique sports car will be sold with just 36,000 miles on the odo.

  1. Funny thing about this car and Bahar . Dany spent a bucket load of Lotus’s money to build this car for him ….. and then refused ( Bahar stated in each and every interview he would not drive a Lotus and in fact drove his Ferrari’s ) to ever drive it !

That alone should of told everyone involved what a pretentious idiot and liability Dany Bahar was when at Lotus . Errrrrr…. but if you can dig up an honest Ferrari insider they’ll tell you he was just a big a liability when there as well ;-)
