Porsche has a rich Le Mans history with cars like the Porsche 962C which won the twenty four hour race twice. Chris Harris had the chance of a life time recently when Porsche offered him a drive in the Rothmans-liveried Porsche 962C at their Weissach race course. The resulting Drive episode can be seen below.

Of course, the 962 isn’t the only Porsche to have won at Le Mans. The Porsche 917K won twice in 1970 and 1971, the Porsche 936 won twice in 1976, 1977 and 1981, the Porsche 935 K3 won in 1979 and the Porsche 956 won a staggering four times consecutively between 1982 and 1985.

  1. Manufacturers should stop lending Chris anything he deserves. Sure he’s a skillful driver with a lot of experience (and money), but he is NOT a professional racing driver. Remember. There’re not so many LeMans winning Porsches that can be trashed.
