The MP4-12C comes looking very clean and fresh, ready to race in GT3 categories across the world for a price of just £299,000.
The MP4-12C GT3 is one of the better looking GT3 cars on the grid at the moment. The MP4-12C features the same ‘M838T’ twin-turbo 3.8 liter McLaren V8 engine that can be found in the road going car, only it has been de-tuned to 500hp, and limited to 7,500rpm to provide as required by the GT3 racing series specifications.
The engine is mounted to McLaren’s carbon fiber MonoCell with aluminium front and rear frames and bespoke carbon body panels. Also mounted to the V8 engine is a six-speed sequential gearbox that uses actuation via the steering wheel mounted paddles. The steering wheel for the GT3 has been derived from McLaren’s MP4-24 Formula 1 car, with an integrated driver display, paddle shift and switches.
Aerodynamically the GT3 features a front and rear diffuser, front splitter, dive planes and adjustable rear wing to complete the hardcore racer look and aid, most importantly, the performance of the car. This particular car has been finished in McLaren Orange with a matte black side accent. The dealer has it listed as brand new.
