Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG) will present their first range of high-performance vehicles at the 2012 Essen Motor Show, starting at the end of this week. Next to the TS030 Hybrid Le Mans racer, three new models will be displayed of which two will be discussed below.

The TS030 Hybrid will share the stage with TMG’s entry-level motorsport products, the race-ready TMG GT86 CS-V3 and the TMG Sports 650 concept, a TMG-developed 650hp, bi-turbo super sports car based on the Lexus LS 460.

As a showcase for TMG’s capabilities, this heavily-modified road car is intended to challenge BMW’s M Power, Mercedes-Benz AMG and the RS line of Audi. The concept features a 5.0 liter 650hp-strong V8 engine, intended to achieve a top speed of 320km/h via an eight-speed high-torque-capacity transmission. The maximum performance is achieved at 6,500rpm with a maximum torque of 765Nm at 5,460rpm. Naught to 100km/h is done 3.9 seconds.

The TMG Sports 650 is a limousine-sized car weighing a total of 2,050kg. The suspension consists of a multi-link with coil springs and Sachs dampers. Braking is achieved using a Brembo carbon ceramic kit. The powerfull sedan rolls on 10Jx20 wheels at the front and 12Jx20 at the rear. The rims are shod in wheels sizing 275/35R20 at the front and 345/30R20 at the rear. Front wheels sizing 295/35R20 are available as a track option.

The GT86 CS-V3 was already a class-winner in the Nürburgring 24 Hours and is now offered to private customers as a race-ready, easy-to-maintain race car for €38,500 excluding VAT (€45,815 including German VAT). The circuit racer is suitable for a variety of production-based championships, including the German VLN series, and can be upgraded with various options to further enhance performance.

The racer is powered by a production-based 2.0 liter boxer engine producing 200hp at 7,000rpm and 205Nm of maximum of torque. The engine is linked to a six-speed manual transmission. The suspension is upgraded to a motorsport suspension kit. Stopping power is achieved using a ventilated brake disc at the front, racing pads, braided brakelines and additional brake cooling. The racer rolls on 17 inch racing slicks and alloy wheels.

On the inside you get a certified roll cage, racing seat, six-point safety harness, electronic fire extinguisher system, electronic main switch system, racing steering wheel, racing foot rest, safety window net and hood quick release for the front and the rear.
