BMW has officially presented the BMW Concept 4 Series Coupe. The latest generation of the BMW 3 Series Coupe and Convertible leads the way worldwide in the premium mid-range coupe and convertible market. Now, with the unveiling of the BMW Concept 4 Series Coupe, BMW is looking ahead to the fourth generation of its sporty mid-range coupe.

The wheelbase (2,810mm) is 50 millimeters longer than that of the existing 3 Series Coupe, while 45mm has been added to the front track (1,545mm) and 80mm to the rear track (1,593mm). At 1,826mm wide, the BMW Concept 4 Series Coupe is 44mm broader than its predecessor, its roof line is 16 mm lower (1,362mm) and it is also longer (4,641mm).

The Germans fitted a set of exclusive 20 inch light alloy wheels featuring a three-dimensional multi-spoke design. The exterior design highlights are full-LED headlights with a more tapered-back look and a new ‘Angel Eyes’ daytime running lights. The Liquid Metal Silver paintwork is combined with an agressive looking front and rear fascia.

The interior has been developed by the BMW Individual personalization service. They installed items such as the natural chestnut wood trim, plush leather surfaces and a chocolate-brown Alcantara headliner. The cupholders are lined in leather.

The two-door coupe will make its public debut next month in Detroit.
