Multiple sources are reporting that a Ferrari 458 Spider wreck occurred on the island of Mallorca this weekend. The accident happened yesterday after the owner and his brother picked the car up from a Ferrari dealer on the island. It seems that it took them just two hours of hard driving to completely total the Italian supercar.

Both driver and passenger walked away from the accident on Mallorca‘s MA-3470 which links Alcudia with Murterar. While travelling along a straight section of road, the driver lost control, hit the guardrail and slammed into what looks like a sandstone cliff face. It appears that the car was left unattended when the police got to it, perhaps because the owner had gone to get help.

The accident is being put down to driver error. The car is a total loss, all panels have been damaged at the very least. We’re told that the wreck was taken to the owners car rental workshop where he will be attempting to fix it.
