After this morning’s leaked images, details of the BMW M6 Gran Coupe have finally been made official! There’s little surprise as to the specs of the car, or to the design either if you’ve already seen the BMW M6 Coupe and Cabriolet. Yet we do know know that the German recommended retail price is set at 128,800 euros including VAT. Deliveries to start in May 2013.

The BMW M6 Gran Coupe gets the same V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology as the Coupe and Cabriolet. It feature peak power outputs of up to 560hp and 680Nm of torque allowing for a 0 to 100km/h sprint time of just 4.2 seconds, which is faster than the BMW F10M M5. Technical components include a cross-bank exhaust manifold, a Double-Vanos continuously variable camshaft control, a seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission and an active M Differential.

As far as visual changes go, the BMW M6 Gran Coupe gets a new front bumper with larger air intakes, standard Adaptive LED Headlights and an M kidney grille. Of course, the Gran Coupe is 113-millimeter longer than the Coupe which gives it a completely different look. Changes include flared wheel arches, M gills, a high-gloss Shadow Line package, a new diffuser and a set of twin exhaust tailpipes. The roof is also constructed from carbon fiber. Whats more, the M6 Gran Coupe is practical too. Folding down the rear seats increases boot capacity from 460 to as much as 1,265 liters.

The M6 Gran Coupe has an integrated rear axle with a double wishbone front suspension constructed from Aluminium. The sedan also gets Dynamic Damper Control system and hydraulic variable-ratio rack-and-pinion steering. The DSC mode, engine performance characteristics, Dynamic Damper Control mapping, M Servotronic responses and M DCT Drivelogic shift program can be selected independently of each other.

The M6 Gran Coupe gets a wealth of standard features including 20 inch M light-alloy wheels, leather trim, heated driver and front passenger seats, automatically dimming rear-view and exterior mirrors, an alarm system and the BMW Professional radio with hi-fi loudspeakers.
