This is the number 237 Jaguar XJ220 of the 281 handmade cars produced and was restored by Canepa a luxury auto dealer from California and specializing in restoring of high end cars.

The Jaguar which was formerly owned by Ted Schroeder from Switzerland found its way to the US through a show and display exemption by the US Department of Transportation on June 11th 2001.

Featuring a Tom Walkinshaw-developed 3.5 liter V6 race engine as used in the Group C XJR-10/11racers, the resulting numbers were 550hp and 645Nm of torque not to mention the twin Garrett T3 turbochargers. The XJ220 was the first roadcar to exploit under-body airflow and venturi to generate downforce of around 3,000lb for high-speed stability.

  1. Very nicely done. The interior very much so.

The engine bay though would have been better looking with all piping / fixtures and valves that are blue in red … Red would have accented the exterior maroon color to a better degree
