2013 SRT Viper Rolls Finally Off Production Line

The official production of the 2013 SRT Viper started this month with VIN No. 001 driving off the production line of the Conner Avenue Assembly plant. The plant had been closed for two years when the company suffered bankruptcy. Celebrations were held to mark this production with Fiat and Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne spearheading the event.

The New York Times then released a video showing how the Viper is manufactured at the Conner Avenue Assembly plant, the fast motion video shows various steps that the Viper undergoes before reaching the owner as a finished product. They spend half an hour on each car on the line. In regard to this, Mike Chapman a worker at Conner said that one is more like a craft person than a line worker there, while at other plants one is pretty much like a robot.
