Toyota has released a brief, half-minute teaser of their upcoming Super Bowl ad featuring none other than actress Kaley Cuoco, of The Big Bang Theory fame.
Toyota hasn’t released official word as to which car the ad is promoting, but it doesn’t take too much of an imagination to assume the Japanese car-maker is making another concerted effort to push their horrendous, by petrolhead standards, RAV4.

We all know that Super Bowl ads are no joke, with most companies investing millions simply for the privilege of having their commercial beamed to the masses, production costs notwithstanding, so one would assume the suits over at Toyota North America would want the car to have as much airtime as possible — even in a teaser, right? That’s what strikes us as funny. The car (assume RAV4) receives few exterior shots that aren’t dwarfed by a troll (!?) in the foreground. And Toyota actually has interesting, world-beating cars they could have featured in the GT86 and LFA. Seems a waste to us.
Check out the video and let us know your thoughts. We think it could use a few egregiousness power slides from a GT86 and LFA, but that’s just us. It is just a teaser after all, maybe they’ll surprise us.
