2013 Maserati Quattroporte

The all new Maserati Quattroporte has followed a similar path to the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray by heading off to the auction arena. One of the first new saloon’s made it to the Naples Wine Winter Festival where it auctioned for $340,000. This is a relatively small amount when compared to the $1.1 million raised by the Corvette Stingray at the Barrett Jackson auctions, nevertheless, the new Quattroporte helped in raising funds to be used at the Naples Children & Education Foundation.

The 2013 Maserati Quattroporte which also debuted at the Detroit Motor Show features a 3.8-liter V8 producing 523hp or a 404hp V6. Both engines are twin turbocharged. The V8 is able to make a sprint of naught to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds while top speed is 191 mph. In the same auction, other cars included the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta which was able to contribute $750,000 to the charity fund. The entire auction recorded funds exceeding $8.5 million.
