Aston Martin Virage wins The most beautiful Supercar of the Year Award

The Aston Martin Vanquish continues to collect awards by winning the crown for “The Most Beautiful Supercar of the Year” presented at The Festival Automobile International in Paris this week.

The world-renowned voting panel awarded the Grand Prize “to the most beautiful and interesting projects of the year focusing on art and automobile”. After the triumph of the Rapide in 2011, Aston Martin has received the limited edition Laliques Bacchantes trophy the second time.

Marek Reichman, Design Director of Aston Martin, emphasized how proud the British supercar maker is to received the award. Especially in their birthday centenary year.

The new Vanquish will remaining on display at the 2013 Festival Automobile International exhibition for all to see. Despite the revival of an old badge, the Vanquish is a completely new car.

The all-alloy front-mid mounted 5,935cc V12 engine has independent quad variable camshaft timing. The engine produces 573hp at 6,750rpm and a maximum torque of 620Nm at 5,500rpm. The zero to 100km/h sprint is done in 4.1 seconds and the top speed is 295km/h, which is slightly slower than the DBS.
