The Porsche Macan or the baby Cayenne as many refer to it is about to go into production and the good news is that Porsche are hiring more than 1,000 new staff for the Macan Plant in Leipzig, the same place that the Cayenne and the Panamera are made. The good news delivered via CarsUK.net also indicates that diesel Porsche Macans likely be produced in large numbers.

Interested persons can check out the job categories. The Porsche Macan will likely debut at this year’s Frankfurt Auto Show before it hits the dealerships in early 2014. The Macan will be available with a range of three petrol engines and most probably two diesel power sources. The base model will come with a 220hp-strong 2.0 liter TFSI engine, followed by a 295hp-strong 3.6 liter V6. The top of the range model will be powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0 liter V6 producing up to 370hp. The diesel engines will get respectively 190hp and 250hp.
