Jaguar XS

The smaller Jaguar sedan set to compete with the likes of the BMW 3 Series has been spied for the first time. The spyshots come via Worldcarfans. They show the new smaller sedan with shorter doors, a lower roof and headlights based on the styling of the Jaguar XF sedan. The exhaust is different from the XF series.

It will likely use the XS badge and the Premium Lightweight Architecture (PLA) platform which is supposed to shed weight while also enhancing drivability. Expect to see its powerhouse feature both a 4 cylinder turbocharged engine and a 6-cylinder supercharged engine. Codenamed the X760, the Jaguar XS is expected to debut in early 2015. It will fight for space with the new BMW F30 3 series which already has an existing share of the market.
