The Lamborghini Gallardo has been in production for over a decade now, and with the Italian automaker continually producing new variants the end is nowhere in sight.

Of course, when you think of a Gallardo — or any Italian supercar, for that matter — the last thing you think of is rallying. Maybe some coastal crusing along the Mediterranean, but not full bore rallying on a dirt stage. That just wouldn’t be becoming of such a car, right? Well not according to a video recently making the rounds across various auto enthusiast forums.

The video, as seen above, is a masterful display of pure Gallardo rally action. The cinematography is quite excellent as well. The intersting thing to note is, according to DailyDrivenExotics (the creator of the video), the car hasn’t been especially modified to handle difficult or dirt-laden terrain. In fact, it has been lowered. Luckily the dirt road is fairly well maintained, or the hillside may be dotted with a few thousand dollars worth of front bumper.

According to the owner of the YouTube channel, the video in question is part 1 in a 3 part series. So expect more sideways Gallardo action coming soon.

Do you think rallying a Gallardo is cool? Or not?
