Video Audi R8 V10 Plus takes on the Philip Island Grand Prix Circuit

The all new Audi R8 V10 Plus has taken the course at the Philip Island Grand Prix circuit under the control of Audi Sport driver Markus Winkelhock, during the launch of the car in Australia. The car is still the fastest Audi production car ever built while Markus holds the record for the fastest man on the Nurburgring Nordscliefe in the Audi R8 e-tron at 8:09.099 minutes.

The sports car which comes as a coupe only stocks as much 550hp, with maximum torque of 540Nm at 6,500rpm. With the S tronic gearbox, the R8 V10 plus catapults from zero to 100km/h in 3.5 seconds and achieves a top speed of 317km/h. The key data with the manual transmission are 3.8 seconds and 319km/h. And yes, one of the major changes in the new Audi R8 V10 Plus over the previous V10 is the seven-speed S tronic dual clutch transmission which replaced the six-speed automated manual R tronic
