Spyshots: 2014 BMW M235i Caught Undisguised During Photoshoot

BMW’s upcoming 2014 BMW M235i has been spied almost completely undisguised during an official photoshoot for the German brand.

Production of the 2014 BMW M235i isn’t set to begin until November, but BMW is clearly preparing to launch the car in the coming weeks with this particular car appearing to be production ready.

The 2014 BMW M235i is set to top BMW’s upcoming 2-Series line-up and will borrow much of its technology from the 1-Series with the interior being almost identical.

However, the BMW M235i features dramatically redesigned bodywork including brand new front and rear fascias, headlights and taillights.

While the car is still months away from hitting the market, it’s currently believed that the 2014 BMW M235i will feature a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine pumping out an impressive 320hp and 450Nm of torque.

That’s the exact same engine as the BMW M135i hatchback, but the lower overall weight of the BMW M235i and its coupe configuration should make it accelerate to 62mph faster than the 4.9 seconds of the M135i.

No release for the car has been given, but we’d be shocked if it wasn’t unveiled ahead of the upcoming Frankfurt Auto Show this coming September where it’ll top-out BMW’s 2-Series range.
