Video: XCAR Drives 500hp Toyota Supra

Driving a Toyota Supra certainly may not seem all that impressive, but the team at XCAR were recently handed the keys to a rear 370hp+ Toyota Supra inspired by the TOM’S Castrol racing Toyota Supra which once competed in various Japanese GT series’.

This particular car may only be a replica of the original TOM’S Castrol Racing Toyota Supra which competed in the Japanese GT series, but it was created by Toyota itself and UK’s Redline magazine and is without a doubt one of the best Toyota Supra’s currently on the road.

Powering the TOM’s Castrol racing Toyota Supra replica is a 370hp+ engine and while that’s someway short of the 500hp produced by the original racing car, it’s still mighty impressive for a car of this age. This engine is then mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and while such a gearbox is obviously far from ideal for a car like this, as the following review shows, this car is still extremely enjoyable to drive!
