The Porsche 918 Spyder is in its eleventh hour and the entire project should be done soon, this will make it the third notable hybrid supercar joining the league that comprises of the McLaren P1 and the Ferrari LaFerrari. With that said, Porsche has now revealed a microsite dedicated to the Porsche 918 Spyder to entice you even more but largely to get you into knowing more about it.
On the site you can even find a dealership and also enjoy the video solely made for the car. When first released as a concept car back in 2010, the Porsche 918 Spyder was believed to produce 795hp, but recent reports suggested that it produces 887hp and over 920lb-ft of torque! Its torque output is significantly more than the 664lb-ft of torque of the McLaren P1 and LaFerrari.
With the car’s official debut planned for September, production is set to follow in the coming months too. Just like the Porsche Carrera GT case, US will get the highest number of units of this supercar. Out of the 918 units of the 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder that will be made, 190 will head to the US. Each of the Porsche 918 Spyder will have a base price of $845,000 but each customer will have to put down a $200,000 deposit.
