Last November the world’s eyes were fixated on the photos coming out of Miami of the stunning Lamborghini Aventador Roadster. The unit that was presented for the Canadian Lamborghini Aventador Roadster unveiling was identical in specifications to the one driven by Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann last November for the Roadster’s world launch. The Roadster was unveiled exclusively to Lamborghini Vancouver’s guests and lucky passersby outside the landmark Shangri-La Hotel in Vancouver’s downtown core earlier this week.

This Aventador Roadster unit sports the Roadster’s signature Azzuro Thetis paint, a tribute to the 1968 Miura spider, along with the classic Nero Ade interior. One significant improvement compared to the Aventador Coupe are the new Dione forged roadster rims that aid in shaving approximately 22 pounds from the car. This is especially needed as the Roadster is 113 pounds heavier at 3,583 lb than it’s coupe sibling. Currently the V12, 700 HP, Aventador Roadster will swiftly take occupants from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 3.0 seconds and up to a top speed of 217 MPH. Although it is 0.1 seconds slower than the coupe, any driver that has driven the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster will attest that this is merely a minor detail as the exhaust noise can now freely be heard through the roofless cockpit.
