When it comes to custom American muscle engines, few do it better than Nelson Racing Engines. Just last year, they revealed an incredible 2,000hp 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. The company’s latest project involves a 1968 Ford Mustang fitted with their 447 small block Ford Hot Rod Series engine and even more impressively, a modified six-speed sequential transmission from a Dodge Viper 24 Hours of Le Mans racing car!

The aforementioned 447 small block V8 engine produces an impressive 630hp and features 2.5 inch throttle bodies as well as electronic injection! Topping off the addition of the impressive Le Mans derived transmission is the fitment of their custom designed billet shifter. In the above video, Nelson Engine Racing took their latest project out for an incredible spin, and before long, the police were on their tails and the whole thing was caught on tape!
