One of Canada’s largest Supercar events is fast approaching. On the weekend of September 7-8, 2013, the Vancouver Luxury Supercar Weekend will go into high-gear, showcasing both vintage and current supercars as well as significant automotive achievements.

The event is now entering its fourth year. The 2013 event once again offers a unique up-close and personal opportunity to view the world’s most important examples of automotive achievements. Each car on display is handpicked by the Concours d‘Elegance selection committee. Automotive enthusiasts of rare luxury supercars, vintage collectibles, electric/hybrid and concept cars will get the chance to view automobiles that are normally displayed only at select elite international automotive events.

Of course, this event is already attracting big names. Zahir Rana of ZR Auto has announced that he will be entering three of his ultra high-power exotics into the modified supercar class. Rana’s ultimate goal is to walk away with a trophy and to “make some serious noise.”

“I really want to show off the modifications that can be done to a car,” Rana said. “Lots of Ferrari and Lamborghini guys own their dream car and want more power, but have no idea where to start. I want to show them what can be done and to get their mouths watering.”

ZR Auto will be entering their chrome Lamborghini Gallardo, Maserati MC12 Corsa and of course the famed Ferrari ZXX. In addition to ZR Auto showing off their latest and greatest supercars, Rana confirmed that Panagni will also be showing off some of their latest alongside ZR Auto. Edo Competition has also been confirmed to be in attendance.

“It’s a really big deal,” Rana said. “I wrote to Edo recently telling him how excited I was and he wrote back saying: ‘No, I am way more excited than you!’ He’s already booked his plane ticket and everything.”

Rana last attended the event three years ago and is excited to be returning. “It’s a lot bigger now. It’s like the Canadian version of the Italian Concours D’Elegance!”

Rana is also bringing an entourage of his clients to the event. They will be convoying out to Vancouver from Calgary and Edmonton and will be displaying their cars outside their hotel.

“It’ll be a lot of fun,” Rana exclaimed. “Nothing but fast cars, parties and fun! That’s how we do it.”
