McLaren Automotive continues to expand the retailer network throughout Europe with the appointment of McLaren Utrecht. Sports car specialists Louwman Exclusive become the official partner for the British brand, and the 18th retailer in the European region. With this opening in the Netherlands, McLaren now has retail operations in 26 markets worldwide.

McLaren Automotive is the latest luxury sports car brand to join Louwman Exclusive, located in an iconic facility adjacent to the A2 motorway at Utrecht. This is the home of the most exclusive and prestigious vehicles in the Netherlands, and is part of the Louwman Group, one of the largest privately owned automotive business in the Netherlands. The group’s interests also include the world famous Louwman Museum – which has a key historic McLaren model from the brand’s history, the M8F Can-Am raced to the 1971 championship title by Peter Revson. The Louwman Group has 90 years of automotive heritage and entrepreneurship, characterised by its passion for cars and renowned for its customer service standards.

Eric Louwman, President of the Louwman Group explained: ‘We are extremely proud that Louwman Exclusive has become the official partner of McLaren Automotive in the Netherlands. The team here has in excess of 30 years experience working with some of the world’s leading automotive brands, and it is a real honour to add the McLaren name to that list, just as McLaren begins to build the same success in road cars that it has already achieved in its 50 years of racing.

‘At Louwman Exclusive, we share the same ideals and values as McLaren Automotive, delivering exceptional customer experiences through our passion for sports cars and our equally strong focus upon customer service.’

Commenting on the latest McLaren retailer appointment, David Brimson, European Regional Director for McLaren Automotive added: ‘We are delighted to welcome Louwman Exclusive to the McLaren family, we’ve had a lot of requests to have a retailer in the Netherlands and the Louwman Group’s passion for cars is respected globally, so we couldn’t have found a more appropriate partner! The addition of McLaren Utrecht to the retail network is a key step in the continued expansion of the brand in Europe, and the Netherlands is an important market for us.’

The appointment of McLaren Utrecht marks the 18th retailer for McLaren Automotive in Europe. Following the recent opening of the location in Stuttgart, McLaren is now present in 11 countries across the region: Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Monaco, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and the Netherlands.
