Official: 2014 Rolls-Royce Celestial Concept

Prior to an official debut at IAA Frankfurt Motor Show 2013 this week, the bespoke one-off Rolls-Royce Phantom Celestial has been revealed! Despite the fancy new name, the Rolls-Royce Phantom Celestial remains largely unchanged from the regular Phantom but does receive some very notable new features and details.

The most interesting feature about the Rolls-Royce Phantom Celestial is its headliner. The headliner has been created to perfectly replicate the night sky on the south coast of England at midnight on 1st January 2003. What’s the significance of that date? Well, that was the day the very first Rolls-Royce Phantom was delivered!

That unique headliner is actually made up of a thousand fiber-optic lights and is the perfect demonstration of Rolls-Royce’s ingenuity and world-class craftsmanship. Another significant feature of the Rolls-Royce Celestial Concept is that it’s the long-wheelbased version of the regular Phantom thus providing just a little bit more room for wealthy owners to lounge around in the back seats!

Other unique features of the bespoke Rolls-Royce Phantom Celestial include the ‘Dusk’ leather interior supposed to mimic the “inky quality of a cloudless night sky”, a new analog clock featuring four diamonds, engraved wheel centers as well as an engraved glass picnic set!

As if Rolls-Royce couldn’t be anymore diligent in the creation of the Celestial, the lid for the rear drinks compartment has actually been designed to reflect the stars of the headliner. Completing the Rolls-Royce Phantom Celestial is a dark paintjob featuring small glass particles to enhance the sparkle!
