2014 Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S Cabriolet Priced

Following yesterday’s launch of the 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet and 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet, both cars have now officially been priced for the U.S.

First and foremost, the base 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet will set you back $161,650 while the new 911 Turbo S Cabriolet starts at $194,850. However, when you begin to tick for options, those prices will rise significantly.

It’ll come as little surprise that the new 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S Cabriolets are essentially identical to their coupe counterparts with the exception of the folding fabric roof which we recently saw in action. Despite much of the cars technology already being known, there are still some unique features.

First and foremost, the revised folding fabric roof now features a lightweight magnesium frame which helps open and close the roof in just 13 seconds at speeds of up to 37mph.

Under the hood, the 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet is fitted with the same turbocharged 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine as the coupe. That powerplant delivers an impressive 520hp and 660Nm of torque. Consequently, the 991 Turbo coupe hits 100km/h 3.4 seconds, but in Cabriolet guise, that increases slightly to 3.5 seconds. As for the 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet, it features an uprated 3.8-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine pumping out 560hp and 710Nm of torque. This makes for a sprint from 0-100km/h in 3.2 seconds, just 0.1 seconds slower than the coupe.
