Volvo Concept Coupe Could Hit Limited Production

Following recent reports suggesting that the head of Geely and Volvo was keen to move forward in creating a BMW 7-Sieres rival based on the Volvo Concept Coupe, reports have emerged that the car could indeed make it to the production line.

The change in the views of the Board of Directors has been attributed to the overwhelming response the Volvo Concept Coupe received after debuting at the recent IAA Frankfurt Motor Show 2013. Autobild reports that a final decision on whether or not to give the coupe the production green light could be made as early as next year.

The Volvo Concept Coupe was originally launched to preview the firm’s updated styling language with it also featuring a hybrid engine helping to pump out 400hp and 442lb-ft of torque.
