2015 Ford Mustang Receives More Aggressive Render

Following on from these renderings of the upcoming 2015 Ford Mustang said to be based on official CAD-images, Josiah LaColla decided the next-gen Mustang needed a bit of spicy up.

Consequently, this 2015 Ford Mustang rendering incorporates a selection of more aggressive components including a prominent black front splitter, a new hood, grille, the all-but-confirmed slimmer headlights of the next Mustang as well as a prominent double-bubble roof.

When the new car is revealed, it should shed some serious weight from the outgoing model. By muscle car standards, the current Ford Mustang however is still a lightweight. In fact, in GT coupe specification, it tips the scales at around 3,600 pounds which is some 260 pounds less than the Chevrolet Camaro SS and more than 400 pounds lighter than a Dodge Challenger R/T. However, the 2015 Ford Mustang is set to weigh significantly less than any of those, including the outgoing Mustang, with reports suggesting it’ll shed some 400 pounds!

Those weight savings will be achieved through the use of lightweight materials such as aluminium.
