Porsche has just taken the wraps of a very special Cayenne dubbed the Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition. The Platinum Edition range stretches across the six-cylinder variants including the petrol and diesel powered units and includes some minor engine modifications as well as a few visual tweaks.
Most significantly, the 2014 Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition can be ordered in a selection of unique colours. These include Platinum Silver Metallic, Meteor Grey Metallic, Basalt Black Metallic and Mahogany Metallic. Additionally, Carrara White Metallic is an available colour. Completing the exterior modifications are a set of 19-inch Cayenne Design II wheels with coloured crests.
Other new features of the Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition include an eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission, Bi-Xenon headlights, power steering plus as well as Park Assist systems both on the front and rear.
Moving to the insane, the Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition features a two-tone Black/Luxor Beige finish with select leather elements. Alternatively, a full leather interior option is available. The floor mats have then received Luxor Beige edging with the Porsche logo while the front door entry guards read ‘Platinum Edition’.
The Platinum Edition also comes with the standard SportDesign steering wheel complete with paddle shifters and embossed Porsche crests on the headrests.
Under the hood, the regular Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition produces 300 hp from its 3.6-liter V6 engine. By comparison, the Porsche Cayenne Diesel Platinum Edition delivers a total of 245 hp. Prices for the Cayenne Platinum Edition start at 66,379 euros while the Diesel variant will set you back at least 67,212 euros.
