FIA Releases Finalised 2014 Formula One Calender

Following the FIA’s recent release of the preliminary calendar for the 2014 Formula One season, the final calendar has been released and unsurprisingly, a few races have been dropped.

The provisional calendar had an incredible 22 races on it which was always going to be difficult to orchestrate. Now, the final calendar has been reduced down to 19 races. Those that have been dropped are the second U.S. Grand Prix tipped to be held in New Jersey, the Korean Grand Prix and the Mexican Grand Prix. Additionally, no Indian Grand Prix will take place next year with it returning in 2015 in the first half of the season rather than the latter half.

Two new races have been added. These are the Austrian Grand Prix held at the Red Bull Ring and the Russian Grand Prix being held at the brand new Sochi circuit.
