The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster is a wonderful piece of machinery. The brutal hand build AMG V8 is a masterpiece in its own right, but the long bonnet and stubby rear end just looks sublime when viewing the cars profile, especially with the roof down as GTspirit photographer Willem de Zeeuw has captured this example. There is nothing that looks as cool and sounds as good as this when pottering around Monaco on a warm summers afternoon!

The engine and performance are similar to the coupe. The Mercedes SLS Roadster is powered by a 6.2 liter naturally aspirated V8 with 571 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 650Nm at 4,750 rpm. Acceleration from zero to 100 km/h takes 3.8 seconds, the top speed is electronically limited to 317 km/h. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
