BMW M235i Racing Hits the Track

The very first video of the awesome BMW M235i Racing hitting the track has been released and unsurprisingly, it looks like an extremely potent racing car!

Built for private BMW racing teams and drivers, the BMW M235i Racing is priced at 59,500 euros excluding VAT and is obviously based on the standard M235i road car but includes a host of new features inside, outside and under the hood.

Under the hood, the BMW M235i Racing is powered by the same straight six-cylinder petrol engine as the road-going M235i. This unit displaces 2,979cc (3.0-liters) and pumps out an impressive 333 hp and 450 Nm of torque. The Racing spec car however has now been fitted with a racing exhaust and racing catalytic converters. It also features a BMW M Performance limited-slip differential, a new racing steering wheel with shift paddles and a TANK Motorsport racing-spec fuel tank.

The BMW M235i Racing also features KW dampers, H&R suspension sprints as well as H&R anti-roll bars both up the front and at the rear. With these performance improvements, you obviously need a better braking system and that’s exactly what BMW has fitted. The M235i Racing features new 4-pot calipers at the front designed specifically for motorsports while at the rear, it features BMW M Performance 2-pot braking calipers.
