BMW Motorsports has started testing the new BMW M4 DTM for the first time, to ready it for the 2014 DTM season which kicks off in May. BMW DTM teams took part in a three day test with the new cars in Monteblanco Spain. The official ITR tests will be held from 31st March to 03rd April at Budapest’s Hungaroring and from 14th to 17th April at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg.

The tests were centered around the aerodynamics of the cars, and were carried out by the six BMW drivers Augusto Farfus, Bruno Spengler, Timo Glock, António Félix da Costa, Marco Wittmann and Maxime Martin. They covered a total of 2500 miles.

BMW will use the new M4 in DTM for the first time this season, stay tuned for more as they prepare for the official test days in a few days time.
