Top Gear Season 21 Episode 5 airs tomorrow (02 March 2014). We thought we’d give you a preview of what Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May have in store for us this week. Top Gear Season 21 Episode 5 will be the final normal episode of the season, next week a two-part special begins!
The undoubted highlight of Top Gear Season 21 Episode 5 is the Porsche 918 Spyder review. Whilst the team did hint that the Stig would set competitive lap times for the Porsche 918 Spyder and the McLaren P1 during this episode, we are now hearing that this did not happen. The Porsche 918 Spyder is sure to impress the team, featuring a technology packed hybrid powerplant.
Elsewhere, there is a segment which sees Jeremy Clarkson pit the BMW M135i against the brand new Volkswagen Golf GTI. The new Golf GTI features a 220 hp 2.0 litre engine whereas, the BMW has a 320 hp 3.0 litre engine. It doesn’t seem to be the fairest of comparisons, yet we’re sure that Jeremy will surprise us!
Another highlight of Top Gear Season 21 Episode 5 sees Jeremy Clarkson and James May join forces to create a public information film to promote safer cycling. Their efforts are presented to a panel of experts including members of Westminster Council and Olympic gold medal-winning rider Chris Boardman.
Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul is the Star Reasonably Priced Car for Top Gear Season 21 Episode 5. Next weeks episode will ditch the normal format. The team will head out to Myanmar, more commonly known as Burma, and will aim to build a bridge over the river Kwai to Thailand…
