Blancpain GT Series Test Days

The Blancpain Endurance Series started its test days on Tuesday as teams prepare for the first round of the 2014 season which will be in Monza. 34 teams and 47 GT3 cars will participate in the Blancpain GT Series this year which include 12 brands; including the new comers like the new Bentley Continental GT3 and Camaro GT3.

Testing took place at the Paul Ricard circuit in Southern France between Tuesday and Wednesday; the new Bentley Continental GT3 didn’t only make its debut at the circuit but also set one of the fastest times of the day although setting time records was not of importance as giving drivers the opportunities to their cars and the track. The Sport Garage Ferrari 458 Italia was the first car on the track yesterday, all cars had access to track between 09.00 and 13.00 in the morning, and 14.00 and 17.00 in the afternoon.

The Belgian Audi Club WRT are still the teams to watch out for when the season begins as they ended the previous season being endurance champions and sprint champions. The season kicks off in Monza on April 12th and the teams will then head back to France in Nogaro for the first round of the Sprint Series on April 18th. Brands Hatch will be the next stop for the Round 2 of Sprint Series while Round 2 of the Blancpain Endurance Series will take place at Silverstone on May 24.
