RM Auctions Monaco

During the Formula One Grand Prix weekend in Monaco in early May, RM Auctions will be holding its Monaco auction and among the cars to be sold are a selection of incredible racing cars from different eras of motorsports.

Some of the most notable include a 1966 Ferrari Dino 206 S Spider, a 1968 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33/2 Daytona along with a 1989 Aston Martin AMR1 Group C Sports Prototype. The Dino 206 S heading for auction is fitted with a 65-degree V6 engine conceived by Dino Ferrari himself. Chassis number 17 out of 20, this Ferrari Dino 206 S Spider really is a rare automobile.

As for the 1968 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33/2, it features a V8 engine delivering 270 hp and displacing a mere 2.0-liters. It has competed at the Nurburgring 1000 KM where it finished 3rd in its class and 10th overall. Finally, the 1989 Aston Martin AMR1 Group C Sports Prototype, chassis 004, is one of just four created and is powered by a V8 engine capable of producing 700 hp.
