Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé Waterspeed Collection

The stunning Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe Waterspeed Collection is currently celebrating its world debut during the opening day of the legendary Concorso d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este 2014.

A mere 35 examples of the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe Waterspeed Collection will be produced with each finished in a stunning shade of bright blue inspired by the Bluebird motor company’s official colour scheme. Elsewhere across the exterior of the car, this bright shade of blue is featured, for example, in the inners of the wheels and it is offset by the brushed aluminium finish of the front grille, bonnet, A-pillars and windscreen surround.

As with all Rolls-Royce Phantoms, the cabin of the Drophead Coupe Waterspeed Collection is utterly gorgeous with it featuring grey leather throughout as well as Abachi wood panelling, an embossed Bluebird motif on the centre console/armrest, bright blue piping and slightly revised gauges. One of the most eye-catching elements of the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe Waterspeed Collection happens under the hood, with much of the engine mimicking the bright blue finish of the exterior and interior.

This engine is the same as the standard Drophead Coupe’s which means it displaces 6.75-litres from the 12-cylinders and manages to produce 453 hp and 531 lb-ft of torque. Performance details haven’t been released for the Waterspeed Collection, but expect it to mimic the standard car’s sprint to 100 km/h of 5.6 seconds and top speed just below 250 km/h.
