Audi RS1 Sportback Rendered

Having driven the new Audi S1, we know just how capable the little 230 hp hot-hatch is. While the horsepower figure from the small 2.0-litre TFSI engine is quite impressive, it is the 370 Nm of torque figure which is the most obvious with the throttle pinned. While Audi has yet to confirm recently reports, there are some suggestions that an even more potent variant, dubbed the RS1 Sportback is in the works.

While we’ll just have to wait and see if those rumours do or do not come to fruition, Design RM has decided to speculatively render how a possible Audi RS1 Sportback would look. If such a version was created, it would inevitably feature all the aggressive add-ons which other RS models have.

This would include a new front fascia with a revised grille, splitter and air intakes. The headlights could also be tweaked while new wheels and brakes would be fitted. Combined with suspension improvements and even more power and torque, the Audi RS1 could prove a real hit for the German marque!
