Video: Range Rover Sport SVR Stuns at Goodwood

Despite what we expected, the 2015 Range Rover Sport SVR wasn’t completely revealed at the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed 2014. Instead, it was previewed with a unique new camouflage wrap and hit the famous hillclimb for some high-paced runs and boy does it sound impressive!

Production of the Range Rover Sport SVR will be spearheaded by the new Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations unit and will hit the market next year. Under the hood, it is powered by a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine delivering a potent 550 hp and will also come fitted with a host of improved handling components including a better anti-roll system and stiffer suspension. The eight-speed ZF transmission will also be revised while improved brakes will be featured as well.

From a visual perspective, the 2015 Range Rover Sport RS features a much more aggressive front fascia incorporating a menacing bumper with gaping wide air intakes. The car will also receive a new rear diffuser and a quad exhaust pipe setup while some tweaks to the interior are also expected.

Considering that so much of the Range Rover Sport SVR has already been revealed, we can reasonably expect to see it fully revealed in the not-too distant future. When it does launch, it will be the most track-capable Range Rover model ever launched!
