The Hamann Mercedes-Benz SLR Volcano is unquestionably the most recognisable modified SLR McLaren ever created. While it isn’t known just how many examples of the SLR were outfitted with the Hamann Volcano upgrades, there are certainly a handful rolling around the streets and now, one has been put up for sale in Dubai!
The Hamann SLR Volcano is not just modified on the outside, but has also had a performance upgrade. The engine output is increased from 626 hp to 700 hp and the maximum torque has been lifted to 830 Nm. This allows for a sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 348 km/h. Hamann can turn any standard SLR into a ‘volcano’ that out-performs McLaren-Mercedes’s own 722 edition of the SLR.
This particular example is a 2005 model year Mercedes-Benz SLR and has covered 4700 km. It has an asking price of 1,100,000 AED in Dubai which is the equivalent to $299,000 in the U.S.
