The facelifted BMW X6 M has been once again spied testing on the Nurburgring. While future owners of the updated X6 M are unlikely to ever venture onto a race track, testing at the famous German facility will help ensure the latest BMW X6 M can survive the most brutal of on-road torture while still remaining composed.

The following prototype is clearly sporting the updated headlights and taillights of the 2015 model year BMW X6 which were revealed earlier this year. Compared to the outgoing model, the new lights are slightly more rectangular and should look excellent when complemented with a selection of extra aggressive body panels including the front and rear bumpers as well as what looks like a bootlid lip spoiler.

Both the new X6 M and X5 M will use the same 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine of the outgoing cars. In current tune, that engine pumps out 547 hp at 6,000 rpm and 680 Nm of torque at 500 lb-ft of torque. However, we can expect to see some slight power gains for the latest models.
