The upcoming facelifted 2015 BMW X6 M has been spied testing yet again but this particular prototype was wearing the least amount of camouflage thus far. What’s more, its headlights were on full display as were the taillights.

As you’d expect, they have been borrowed from the standard 2015 BMW X6 model range but that is certainly no bad thing. Compared to the outgoing model, the new lights are slightly more rectangular and should look excellent when complemented with a selection of extra aggressive body panels including the front and rear bumpers as well as what looks like a bootlid lip spoiler. Additionally, this BMW X6 M prototype was rolling on a set of black wheels with blue brake calipers hiding behind.

Both the new X6 M and X5 M will use the same 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine of the outgoing cars. In current tune, that engine pumps out 547 hp at 6,000 rpm and 500 lb-ft of torque. However, we can expect to see some slight power gains for the latest models.

Thanks to the new platform underpinning the facelifted BMW X6 M as well as aluminium and composite materials used for many of the body panels, it will weigh less than the outgoing model. Additionally, the current 6-speed automatic gearbox could be replaced with a dual-clutch 7-speed or even an 8-speed.
