High profile Audi tuner ABT has officially unveiled the AS5 Dark tuning package for Audi A5 Coupe and Sportback models. The AS5 Dark package includes cosmetic enhancements for the exterior, new wheels, suspension components, interior trim pieces and a sports exhaust system.
ABT says their AS5 Dark package “only fully comes into its own,” when the A5 is painted or wrapped in black. Their front spoiler lip and rear skirt set is “excitingly contrasted” by the bright red elements ABT has added, which can also be seen on the 20-inch ABT CR wheels. Not pictured on the exterior kit are the spoiler and side skirts, which are only available with Coupe A5s.
Apart from cosmetic touches, the ABT Dark kit includes a special 4-pipe exhaust system, giving the A5 a wide vocal range. The kit includes an ABT rear muffler with four black-chromed end pipes, which gives the car a “dark” and “smoky” sound, according to ABT. Also available are wheel spacers, special ABT emblems for the headrests, ABT floormats and ABT decals and emblems. Pricing has yet to be announced.
