Prior to the SEMA Show 2014, Chevrolet has released pictures and details of a special edition Camaro SS set to debut at the famous North American show.

The special edition Chevrolet Camaro SS will be available as both a coupe and a convertible and is finished in a unique colour dubbed Emerald Green Metallic. The paint scheme also includes silver racing stripes across the bonnet and rear decklid. Further differentiating this special Camaro SS from others are revised headlights, LED taillights as well as a tweaked upper front grille.

Further new features include a revised bonnet, 21-inch wheels, a special ground effects package and the rear spoiler from the potent Camaro ZL1.

Under the hood, this special Camaro SS is powered by the same 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine as any typical Camaro SS. As a result, it delivers an equal 426 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque with the six-speed manual gearbox

As you may have already guessed, Chevrolet has yet to name the car and is asking fans to submit possible names through the company’s Twitter and Facebook pages. The winning name will be revealed alongside the car at SEMA.

  1. “is finished in a unique colour dubbed Emerald Green Metallic.”
That is not a new color for GM. One of my trucks (1996) is an original Emerald Green Metallic color. Still one of my favorite GM colors…
