A brand new prototype for the upcoming Ford Mustang GT350 was recently filmed up close and personal and much to the dismay of the engineers behind the wheel, had a little bit of engine trouble when starting the car up! When the prototype does get on the move however, it is significantly louder than the current range-topping Mustang GT.

While details about the upcoming Ford Mustang GT350 remain sketchy, the car is expected to use a brand new 5.2-litre V8 engine and could feature a flat-plane crankshaft. Other sources suggest a more conventional bi-plane crank is expected.

Either way, the Mustang GT and its new 5.2-litre VooDoo V8 engine could be tuned to deliver in the region of 600 hp which is significantly more than the 435 hp currently provided by the Mustang GT.
